Founded in 2024, Bassta Crew is a cultural association dedicated to enriching the local cultural landscape by creating space for Dub music and the artists active within this diverse genre. Through organizing events and gatherings, we aim to foster a platform where creativity, self-expression, and community come together.

Dub music, rooted in Reggae, is inherently eclectic. Over time, it has absorbed influences from genres like world music, jazz, drum & bass, hip hop, and techno—making musical diversity not just a feature, but a lived practice. This openness is reflected not only in the sound but also in the way Dub music is celebrated: through Soundsystem Sessions.

Soundsystem Sessions create spaces where diversity and plurality can be expressed freely and fully. Soundsystem culture is about mutual respect, empathy, and collaboration. It’s no coincidence that these events are often called gatherings—they are about coming together in a spirit of unity and acceptance.

At its core, the Soundsystem movement stands in opposition to social exclusion, discrimination, and competitive, individualist thinking. It fosters DIY culture, where cultural participation is not limited to those with material privilege. In fact, most Soundsystems are built by hand—often over years, financed through personal dedication and community effort.

Driven by a DIY ethos, we support cultural empowerment and self-made creativity. A Soundsystem is more than just speakers—it’s a symbol of community, participation, and conscious music culture. With Bassta Crew, we aim to keep this spirit alive.
