Numa Crew. BIOGRAPHY // NUMA CREW (IT) NUMA RECORDINGS / SYSTEM MUSIC / LIONDUB INT. / MOONSHINE RECORDINGS Numa Crew is an influential collective of DJs, producers and MCs from Florence - Italy, known for their pioneering role in the Italian Dubstep scene and their deep impact on the global underground music scene. Since 2005, they have blended bass music genres such as Dubstep, Grime, Reggae, Dub, UKG, Jungle and Drum’n’bass, pushing boundaries with their unique fusion of styles. The collective, founded in 2005 in Florence, starts releasing several 12" vinyl for the label Elastica collaborating with artists such as Zion Train and Dub Sync. Later the crew creates Erba Records, a white label principally devoted to reggae-dubstep, D'n'B and Jungle sounds, which is flanked by two other discographic projects, Voodoo Rebel and Digital Smokerz, exploring all contaminations of global bass music. Meanwhile, they release on many other national and international labels such as EMI Italy, Liondub International, Moonshine Records, Dub-Stuy Records, Chinese Man Records, collaborating and remixing many artists including Dub FX, Daddy Freddy, Horace Andy, General Levy & Bonnot, Zion Train, Taiwan MC, Chinese Man, DJ Vadim, Big Red, Radikal Guru and many more. Numa Crew performs regularly all around Europe, North and South America, Asia and festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, Outlook Festival, Boomtown Fair, Fusion Festival, Love Saves The Day, Uprising Festival, Listen Festival, Infrasound Festival. In 2014, they participate with the Elastica Records crew to the Italian Edition of the Red Bull Music Academy Culture Clash in Milan. Their music is supported on radio networks such as BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Rinse FM, Kool FM, RaiRadio2, supported by David Rodigan, Toddla T, Congo Natty, Sir Spyro and they have been broadcasting live on Sub FM for three years, sharing a radio show with their friend and collaborator DJ Foster. Their first album "New Underground Massive Alliance" has been released on Liondub International (November 2014) featuring Dub FX, Mr. Lexx, Kwality and many more. Lately in 2015/16, they' ve been releasing the best seller ‘Dub Searcher’ EP on 12" vinyl via Moonshine Recordings. In 2018, a brand new label called Numa Recordings comes to life; the first single ‘We huh tek talk’ featuring the London collective Killa’s Army (Killa P, Irah & Long Range), it’s been released the 21st of September, followed by more releases as ‘Babylon’ featuring Riko Dan in March 2020. In 2023 they release the acclaimed Dubstep / Grime banger called ‘Bun Dem Down’ on System Music. In 2024, Numa Crew released Killing Time, a collaborative album with the iconic grime artist Killa P. The album blends grime, dubstep, and reggae, and features tracks like Boys In Blue, Family, and Jungle Leng, highlighting Killa P’s thought-provoking lyrics alongside Numa Crew’s genre-defying production. The album has been hailed for its political messages and reflective moments, showcasing the collective's continued evolution and their status as leaders in the global bass music scene. With Killing Time, Numa Crew solidifies their place at the forefront of bass music, blending powerful soundscapes and impactful themes that resonate worldwide. [RUINS] & ALYRA are a power couple on and off the stage - they are founders of Fiction System and core members of Incite Sound, Urbanospective and Teknonstop. Their multi genre approach brings versatility to every selection they make blending sound pallets from every corner of electronic music. LionsQuarter Hifi from Varna, Northern Italy, is a sound system crew dedicated to roots, dub and steppas. Their sessions deliver conscious lyrics, meditative rhythms and deep, driving basslines. Since early 2024, they`ve been spreading their vibes beyond the Alps. Heavyweight sound, deep selections, pure vibration and musical uplifting!
